More help for the needy through ComCare The Singapore government has set up a new fund called ComCare to provide more funding for social assistance schemes and to develop new schemes to further help individuals and families struggling to cope. Community groups such as CDCs, grassroots organisations and VWOs will be the front-liners identifying those in need, providing the relevant information, helping to make the process of getting help easier, as well as running these social assistance schemes. Not only will they be more connected with the issues and concerns of the needy, they will also now have more flexibility in administering these schemes. ComCareSchemes Under ComCare, there are three pillars - ComCare Grow, ComCare Self Reliance and ComCare EnAble.
