Mediation: A friendly way to resolve your differences

The North West Community Development Council (CDC) in conjunction with the Community Mediation Centre (CMC) is promoting stronger community bonding through Community Mediation.

Community Mediation softens the process of disputes and conflicts. It saves time, costs, and aims to achieve a win-win situation. The process also helps to develop a better understanding among the residents and the community.

A Community Mediator:

  • is a respected member of society from all walks of life, different age groups, ethnic groups and professions.
  • facilitates communication between the parties in disputes and explores the range of settlement options.
  • is effectively conversant in English. Knowledge of other languages and dialects would be an additional advantage.
