North West CDC aims to help residents residing in the North West District find suitable jobs with employers in Singapore. At the same time, we also meet employers' manpower needs by providing the venue and logistics support for walk-in interviews FREE OF CHARGE! Since 2001, we have placed thousands of workers into both Multi-National Companies and Small and Medium Enterprises. Companies which have benefited from our free services include Watson's, CISCO, SMRT, NTUC Fairprice, Dairy Farm Group and many other companies. We have a team of dedicated, trained and efficient Career Consultants who are able to send you suitable jobseekers quickly.
a) Job Vacancy Posting
Career Centre will assist in processing the vacancy posting through our data bank that is shared by all five Career Centres (Central Singapore, North East, North West, South East & South West). This is a free service and employers will receive referrals from the Career Consultants almost immediately.
b) Job Placement Exercise (JPE)
For larger number of vacancies, the Employer Servicing Consultants will assist the employer in to organise JPE at the Career Centre at no cost. The Career Consultants from the five respective Career Centres will then refer suitable candidates based on the requirements for the recruitment event. The employer is also encouraged to brief the job seekers prior to the interview on the organisation’s background, nature of business and the positions available. The team will then schedule one-on-one interview at a separate interview area and follow-up on the placement results upon completion.
c) Job Fairs
Career Centre organises thematic job fairs regularly to help employers create awareness of the growing industries, job vacancies and its career progression. This is a free service and employers are welcomed to join the job fairs.
d) Trial & Place (TRiP) Programme
The TRiP is a local initiative that provides a platform for employers to assess the suitability of the job seeker before the job is offered. At the same time, the job seeker has the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and determine if they can adapt to the work conditions. The average TRiP programme ranges from three to five days and it can be tailored to meet the employer’s needs. Career Centre will subsidise the TRiP allowance to encourage employers offer more vacancies to support this programme.
e) Career Exploration Programme (CeP)
CDC will accompany the job seekers to an onsite tour at the company. Upon arrival, a company representative will bring the job seekers around to learn of the working environment, culture and job expectations as well as acquire a first-hand experience. After the tour, job seekers will undergo an on-the-spot interview.
f) Trial, Train & Transit (T3) Programme
Job seekers will be undergoing three to five days of work trial to learn of the operations and working environment. If there is a job fit between the employers and job seekers, the job seekers will be employed and then sent for training courses. The final component of the T3 programme is to help job seekers transit and retain in the industry.
